Reading recent game reviews, and up coming articles for releases and game development, I have noticed something…
What the balls is with all these games being developed on multi platforms? I know why they are doing it, to hit a bigger audience, and get more people online for multiplayer, but there is a huge flaw!
Trying to make a game, for cross platform design, really makes the game suck. A prime example of a game that could have torn up the “frag world” is Unreal Tournament 2007 (Renamed to Unreal Tournament 3 after multi platform announcement)
It was developed for the shit conglomerate that is Microsoft and their XBOX, and cross platformed to PC and PS3. What you get is an extremely fast paced, small map, nothing new frag fest. If Epic Games stuck to what they were good at (the best frag shooters for PC ever made by humans) it would have surely done great. Has anyone heard of Unreal Championship 2? Strictly for the PS3? Shit no. Why? Because it blows.
Epic Games should stick to PC, and PC alone. They didn’t even release the game with high quality textures because only the PC could handle it.
The latest games I have been reading reviews on, and getting hyped about, are ALL cross platform; including HUXLEY.
You’ll be able to play HUXLEY from a PC, XBOX, and PS3. What does that spell? G-A-Y.
Cross platform games lack content, originality and game play. So if my chance some senior developer is in charge of a new game for 2010, and is by chance reading this, go to the board of directors and say “Hey, one platform only R-tards.” — That way your game won’t bomb to the bottom of the shelf.
By the way, UT3 is 6 months old, and only has 120 servers online, with 180 players. It’s peak hours.

Well the only ” cross-platform ” game i enjoyed was halo , the feeling was different but i enjoyed the single-player more on the PC and multi-player more on the x-bawks , consoles just make multi-player more fun compared to a PC when you’re with a couple of your buddys.
All that said , I’m not saying console gaming is better , i’m not a huge fan-boy of consoles there are just some games i wish they would deliver to the PC sometimes since analog controllers are really ghey.
